WEEK 1 — "This Is Montefiore Urology"

Campaign: Interview Season 2026-2027

Voice: Elite Humanism

Dates: August 3-8, 2026

MONDAY AUG 3 — LAUNCH DAY

X/Twitter — 9:00 AM ET: Launch Thread

1/6 Interview season is about to get interesting.

We filmed 10 of our faculty and residents answering the questions you actually want answered — unscripted, unfiltered, no PR department involved.

Here's what happens when you let surgeons talk about their program on camera:

2/6 Dr. Schoenberg (our Chairman) was asked: "What makes Montefiore special?"

His answer wasn't about case volume or fellowship rates.

It was about mentorship. About building surgeons who think, not just operate.

Watch the clip. Then tell me I'm wrong — this is what you want from a program.

3/6 Here's the thing about residency social media:

Most programs post the same thing. Group photos. "Welcome our new PGY-1s!" Generic carousel slides.

We're not doing that.

Real OR footage. Real resident opinions. Real answers to hard questions.

4/6 Some of the questions we asked our faculty:

"What would you change about this program?" "What's the hardest part of training residents?" "Tell me about a time a resident surprised you."

The answers? Chef's kiss. 🤌

Full clips dropping all week.

5/6 And some things we asked our residents:

"What do you wish you knew before ranking us?" "Be honest — what's the worst part?" "What would you tell someone on the fence about Montefiore?"

No one held back.

6/6 This is the campaign.

24 weeks. 10 faculty. Every resident perspective. Application tips. NYC life. The whole picture.

Bookmark this thread. Share it with someone applying this cycle.

And honestly? Reply with your biggest question about residency. We'll answer it on camera.

X/Twitter — 9:05 AM ET: Schoenberg Clip

Our Chairman just said something on camera that most program directors would never say out loud.

Watch it. Then tell me if your dream program's leadership talks like this.

Clip: Mark Schoenberg - What makes Montefiore special - Vert.mp4

Caption:

POV: Your program's Chairman actually believes the residents own the program.

Dr. Mark Schoenberg has been training urologists for 20+ years. When we asked him what makes Montefiore different, he didn't talk about case numbers or publications.

He talked about trust. About giving residents real authority. About building surgeons who can think on their feet when no attending is in the room.

Most programs say "we value mentorship." Watch what it actually looks like when someone means it.

Full interview series starts now. Save this reel. Watch it when you're building your rank list and ask yourself: does this feel like home?

Title: What Happens When You Let a Urology Chairman Speak Unscripted

Body:

I asked Dr. Schoenberg a question I've never seen a program director answer honestly on camera:

"What's the one thing you'd change about your program?"

His answer surprised me. (Watch the clip on our X account @MontefioreUrology.)

But what stuck with me more was what he said after: "The program belongs to the residents. Always has. When they tell me something isn't working, I listen. Because they're the ones living it."

Most residency programs treat residents as trainees. Montefiore treats them as stakeholders.

The result? Graduates who don't just pass boards — they lead departments, direct fellowships, and come back to teach.

We're spending the next 24 weeks showing exactly how this works. Real voices. No scripts. The full picture.

If you're applying this cycle, bookmark this. If you're a program director, maybe take notes — this is what authenticity looks like.

30 people. One department. Zero stock photos.

This is everyone who shows up to work at Montefiore Urology every day. Faculty, residents, APPs, coordinators — the whole team.

Name another program that looks this alive.

Instagram — 12:00 PM ET: "5 Things" Carousel

Carousel: "5 Things We Wish Every Applicant Knew"

Slide 1: [Big bold text on Montefiore blue background] 5 THINGS WE WISH EVERY APPLICANT KNEW (Before you submit your rank list)

Slide 2: 🏥 THREE HOSPITALS ISN'T A GIMMICK Moses. Weiler. Wakefield. You rotate through all three. Translation: you see pathology that single-hospital programs only read about. Complex cases aren't exceptions here — they're Tuesday.

Slide 3: 🔪 YOU'RE OPERATING BY PGY-2 Not "observing." Not "assisting." Operating. Our attendings let you drive. They're in the room, they're coaching, but the scalpel is in your hand. That's progressive autonomy — and it's the whole point.

Slide 4: 👨‍🏫 DR. SMALL WON TEACHER OF THE YEAR (And nobody was surprised.) When your program's best teacher gets an award named after a legend, that tells you everything about the teaching culture here. More on Dr. Small next week 👀

Slide 5: 🧗 OUR RESIDENTS ACTUALLY HANG OUT Annual climbing retreat. Coffee runs between cases. Weekend brunches. This isn't a "wellness initiative." It's just what happens when you hire good people who like each other.

Slide 6: 🏆 YOUR FELLOWSHIP OPTIONS ARE WIDE OPEN Our grads match into top programs nationally. But here's what matters more: they leave feeling ready. Not "ready for fellowship." Ready for anything.

Slide 7: Still here? Good. Bookmark this carousel. Share it with someone building their rank list. And honestly? DM us your questions. We answer every one on camera.

THURSDAY AUG 6

X/Twitter — 9:00 AM ET: Stats Post

Quick math:

🏥 3 hospitals 👨‍⚕️ 10+ full-time faculty 🤖 500+ robotic cases/year (Moses alone) 🎓 100+ graduates in top fellowships 🧗 1 annual retreat that residents talk about for months

And one Chairman who still scrubs in on cases.

What stat would you add to this list?
